Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a partner?

For single students, the instructor will partner the student for Private Lessons. Many couples take lessons together or separately due to their personal schedules. Practice Sessions will provide plenty of opportunity to meet other students with similar interests and goals.

What is a Private Lesson?

Private Lessons are for singles and couples with a key instructor who will provide each student with the specialized and personal attention necessary to develop the ability to lead or follow a partner. These lessons provide the most benefits and make learning to dance easier since all material is catered to the individuals abilities and desires.

What is a Group Class?

A Group Class consists of several students learning from one instructor. Students primarily learn and practice the basic elements of dancing such as foot patterns and timing, as well as working on their leading and/or following skills with different individuals.

What is a Practice Party?

This is where students get to try dancing out in a realistic setting.

Music is played for a variety of dances and you are encouraged to practice what you've learned without the aid of an instructor. It's an excellent way to work on your dancing before you dance in a public setting.

Should I start with Private Lessons?

There are students that learn to dance through Private Lessons alone, but we recommend a combination of Private Lessons, Group Classes and Practice Parties for the quickest and easiest way to learn and practice as often as possible.

What would it cost for lessons?

This would depend on several factors, such as:

1) What dances do you want to learn?

2)How skilled would you like to be?

3)How often you were coming in for

your lessons?

Using a combination of Private Lessons, Group Classes and Practice Parties, most students pay an average of $25-$45 per session. You should try everything to get a feel for what you'd like to learn. This makes it easier for you to decide how many lessons you'd like.

How long before I am comfortable in a dance situation?

That depends on you! Everyone has a different sense of comfort. Most

students usually start feeling more confident after just a few sessions . We will welcome any challenge and you can expect nothing but the best and quickest result.
